Use

1. ACE, Amtrak & BART

   Modesto Area Express (MAX) offers Express Commuter Service to the ACE (Altamont Commuter Express) train station in Lathrop and the BART station in Dublin / Pleasanton. MAX also connects with the Amtrak station in Modesto.

2. Bikes on the Bus

   All Modesto Area Express (MAX) buses are equipped with bike racks. The bike racks are located on the front bumper of the bus and are capable of accommodating two bikes at a time.

3. Bus Rules

   Violation of rules may result in driver not permitting passenger to board the bus, a $250 fine, and / or suspension of service.

4. Modesto Area Dial-A-Ride

   In addition to Modesto Area Express (MAX), the City of Modesto provides a specialized transportation service seven days a week, every day of the year, for persons with disabilities, and people 65 and older.

5. Modesto Junior College Bus Pass Program

   Modesto Junior College (MJC) students can ride the bus for free simply by displaying their Student ID card, with current semester sticker, to the bus driver.
